The consumption of audiovisual content has been transformed forever; linear television is changing, and streaming platforms continue to struggle to find their place. In this diverse and complex landscape, how can we find new ways to promote movies and shows while maintaining brand personality? That was the beginning of our beautiful friendship with Universal+.

We love watching movies, so we’ve got a head start. Also, we’ve always thought that the trailer format is wonderful. Even for new formats, the narrative challenge of presenting a story in just a few seconds—creating a piece that tells but doesn’t reveal, using only the tools editing provides—is truly exciting. We quickly found ourselves navigating the content from the Premiere, Cinema, Comedy, Crime, and Reality channels, producing promos, trailers, and reels for linear, and also contributing ideas for the app, its streaming content, and marketing applications. To celebrate the first year of work, we created this piece that faithfully captures what it means for us to be part of the U+ universe.
