Challenge
Ten seasons, one final goodbye

El Señor de los Cielos wasn't just another telenovela — for over a decade it was appointment television, the saga that turned Aurelio Casillas into a cultural fixture across Latin America and the U.S. Hispanic market. When Telemundo confirmed its tenth and final season, with Rafael Amaya returning to close out the character he'd once walked away from, the launch carried a different kind of weight.

The challenge: give a decade-long audience — invested, vocal, impossible to fool — a send-off as big as the saga itself, and turn that anticipation into a countdown the whole internet could feel.

Rollout
Aurelio's last war, told in real time

We built the digital campaign around two speeds. On one side, sharp, high-impact pieces that moved with the plot — the guns, the power, the war Aurelio was walking back into. On the other, the cast stepping out of character: warmer, looser, closer, the kind of content that reminds an audience there are real people behind the legend.

A handful of extra pieces rounded out the drop — from an AI-assisted piece exploring the character's world in a new visual language, to a countdown built to make the premiere date impossible to ignore, to red carpet coverage that closed the loop between the fiction and the real event.

Wrap-up
A legend gets the ending it deserves

Ten seasons, nearly 800 episodes, and one final flight — the campaign carried the weight of that history while still feeling immediate, built for the scroll and the countdown clock alike. Aurelio Casillas got the goodbye a decade of viewers had been waiting for.
